Our beloved Rosemary Newson, 78 years of age made her transition on Sunday, December 12, 2021 @ 2:00 p.m. at Piedmont-Fayette hospital.
Rosemary was born November 18, 1943. She was the eldest of four. One preceded in death to Marie and Charles Richard smith. Her siblings: Juanita (Charles) Roy, William (preceded in death) and Charlotte (Frankie preceded in death).
Rosemary attended Wendell Phillips High School in Chicago, IL. It was there where she met Jerry Lind Newson. They married in 1961 and their union lasted for 13 years. She had 5 beautiful children.
At an early age Rosemary gave her life to Christ. In 1993 She founded the Refuge of Hope and Love Ministry where she pastored for over 15 years. The lives that she has help transform by preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ is countless. When it comes to ministry, she has been a spiritual mid-wife, counselor, teacher, Evangelist and Prophetess just to name a few. She has operated in the five-fold ministry. Rosemary has even taught prophets how to flow using their prophetical gifts. She has led many to souls to Christ and for that she will always be remembered as a mighty “Woman of God.”
Rosemary leaves to cherish her children. Carnetta (Henry-preceded in death) Sharese (Herbert), LaTonia, Rose (Edward) and Andrae.
Her Grandchildren: Nekesha, Victor Jr., Brittany, Montrice, Marquis, Johnathan, Joe, Bionca, Breyonna, Mookie, Courtney, Markez, Darius, Joshua (preceded in death) Isaiah and Calvin.
A host of nieces, great nieces. nephews. great nephews’ great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild Cenari.
Family, friends, mentors, mentees, church families and clergy. Her legacy will live on and she will be missed greatly.
