Samantha Jean Benfield

It is with heavy hearts that we share that Samantha Jean Benfield, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, May 15th, 2023. Samantha was born on December 13th, 1971 in Atlanta, GA to Pauline Zotos and Sam Benfield. She graduated from Falmouth high school and found a wonderful and fulfilling career as a dog groomer, which allowed her to pursue her love of helping animals. Samantha was a successful business owner, and owned Bow Wow Meow in Ellijay, GA for many years. Above all, Samantha was a free spirit and a lover. There will never be another like her. She is survived by her two daughters Melanie Stout and Willow Newell, as well as her two grandchildren Theo Godwin and Zakk Godwin, who carry her presence and legacy forward. She was also survived by her parents, Pauline “Mum” Zotos and Sam Benfield, her sisters Alicia “Buffy” Benfield and Jennifer Benfield, and many more loving family and friends. Samantha and her lively and bold presence will be dearly missed. She touched the lives of everyone around her, and left a lasting impression on this world. She has gone to rest with her Mother Earth and her spirit lives free. Celebration of Life Services will be held at Southern Cremations & Funerals—1861 Dallas Hwy, Marietta, GA 30064–on Saturday, May 27th from 2:00pm - 5:00pm. Blessed Be.
