Fairburn Southern Cremations & Funerals
Mrs. Sandra Griffin Cook of Fairburn, Georgia went to her Heavenly home on October 7, 2022. Born in Miami on September 27, 1943, she was a faithful member of Fairburn United Methodist Church where she served in the choir and as a member of the Staff-Parish Relations Committee and Altar Guild and other church groups. She was a long-time member of the D. P. Johnston Sunday School Class.
Sandi, as so many knew her, is survived by husband David. They had just celebrated 59 incredible years of wedded bliss! She is also survived by daughter Julia Wellborn of New York, son Bradley Cook of Canton, and son Brian Cook and wife Kristin of Newnan. Sandi leaves behind 12 grandchildren: Megan Cook, Kaylee DuPree, Mimi Wellborn, Anne Cook, Georgia Wellborn, Grant Cook, Carl Daehler, Sophia Cook, Ethan Cook, Andrew Cook, Emma Daehler, Zachary Daehler and one great grandson, Carter Fox.
Sandi was greeted in Heaven by her great-grandchild Ella Nellenback, who welcomed her with the tiniest arms, but the biggest hug!
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2pm, Saturday, 12 November 2022 at Fairburn United Methodist Church, 5 Washington Street, Fairburn, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Sandra Cook to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund, Southwest Christian Care Hospice, Fairburn United Methodist Church or other charity of your choice.
Please express your condolences here on our website. Services entrusted to Southern Cremations & Funerals at Holly Hill

I had the honor to serve Sandy as she faced the last year of her life. I am truly proud and thankful to have served Sandy and Dave as they faced this chapter of life together.
“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” Psalm 116:15
The words of this Psalm can offer peace to one whom we know is being kept by the hand of the LORD above.
May God bless you and keep you in this time of sorrow reminded that we all are in His loving care. God blessings upon you.
