Sarah Denise Campbell

September 9, 1958 ~ November 27, 2022

Sarah Denise Campbell was born to Catherine and Bobby Quarterman on September9, 1958. Sarah attended Margaret Fain Elementary School and grew up in Allen Temple where she was affectionately known as “Sharon”. She met the love of her life, Harold Lee Render, and together they conceived a baby boy, Harold Jeran Cooper. Sarah went on to graduate from Frederick Douglass High School where she also played on the basketball team. Sarah furthered her education by attending Georgia State University and graduating with her bachelor’s degree in business. Due to her love for youth, Sarah decided to share her time and expertise with youth of all ages, by becoming a substitute teacher for the Atlanta Public School system. She served in this position for 20 years, until her health prevented her from going further. Sarah was very outspoken and strong willed, so whatever she said she was going to do, it got done! God called Sarah home into his loving arms on November 27,2022. Sarah was preceded in death by her loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. Catherine and Bobby Quarterman. She leaves to cherish her one and only loving, devoted, and cherished son, Harold J. Cooper of Atlanta, GA; one beloved brother, Kenneth (Denise) Cooper of Snellville; and adoring niece, Kenra Cooper of Sandy Springs, GA; and loving nephew Theodore Waldon of Cobb county, GA; very close and faithful cousins, Betty (Jerry) Anderson of Clayton county, GA; Carlos Anderson of Clayton county and Brittany Anderson of Fulton county; two sister’s-in-law, Anne Zimmerman and Shirley render of Atlanta, GA; two brother’s-in-law Bernard and Walter Render of Atlanta, GA, and a host of other family members and friends.

  3. If roses grow in heaven,
    Lord please pick a bunch for me,
    Place them in my Mother’s arms
    and tell her they’re from me.

    Tell her I love her and miss her,
    and when she turns to smile,
    place a kiss upon her cheek
    and hold her for awhile.

    Because remembering her is easy,
    I do it every day,
    but there’s an ache within my heart
    that will never go away.

  4. Sending my deepest condolences to Kenneth and Harold. May God give you both the strength to carry on.
    Denise Cooper (Wife and Aunt)

  9. Mom, you was a wonderful mother,
    So gentle, yet so strong.
    The many ways you show you care
    Always make me feel I belong.

    You was patient when I was foolish;
    You gave me guidance when I ask;
    It seems you can do most anything;
    You was the master of every task.

    You’re a dependable source of comfort;
    You’re my cushion when I fall.
    You help in times of trouble;
    You support me whenever I call.

    I love you more than you know;
    You have my total respect.
    If I had my choice of mothers,
    You’d be the one I’d select!

  10. When I was younger,
    I had the erroneous belief that hanging out with you was so uncool that I would fight.
    When you picked me up from school,
    I’d feel embarrassed, but now that I’m looking back, I see what a fool I was.

    Your incredibly kind affection and your selfless sacrifices were something
    I had before disputed.
    Life has a way of teaching us difficult things, but now that you’ve passed away,
    I regret all of my denials.

    I miss you, Mom, and the relationship we’ve shared.
    I cry for your embraces, for your warmth, and for your love.
    I shall continue to think of you and treasure the memories
    of the love you instilled until the day I pass away.

  11. I still can’t forget,
    sound of your final breath.
    Just before you passed away,
    you said something that I remember.
    Your soft hands are still warm to the touch,
    lightly entwined in mine.
    I can also clearly recall your faint grin.
    I made a pledge to stop crying,
    but the grief of losing you, Mom,
    is still incredibly horrifying.
    I’m missing you.

  12. Happy Birthday in Heaven, Mom. I miss your hugs, your voice, and the way you always made everything okay.

  13. Mom, your birthday still means the world to me. I wish I could hold your hand again — but today I hold onto your love and everything you taught me.

  14. Happy Heavenly Birthday, Mom. Not a day goes by without me thinking of you. Your love shaped who I am and still comforts me in ways I can’t explain. Today I celebrate you — your warmth, your laughter, and the beautiful soul I’ll always carry in my heart.

  15. I love you Mother.
    The words still cut like a knife,
    Three years have passed since you left this life.
    The world keeps spinning, seasons turn and change,
    But my heart stays anchored in a sorrowful range.
    I miss your wisdom, the comfort of your hand,
    The brightest light that shone across this land.
    The silence in the house is a heavy sound,
    Since the day your loving presence could not be found.
    Each year without you is a milestone of grief,
    A continuing story with no sign of relief.
    But in the quiet moments, a gentle thought arrives,
    Your love still guides me, keeping our bond alive.
    I carry your memory, a treasure in my soul,
    Until the day we meet again, and I am made whole.
