  1. Dame June! I can’t believe you are gone and am writing this. My brother how can this be… Shalan Quincy Jones truly was one of the best human being I have ever met. Kind, caring, loving,…and very intelligent. From the first day we met working security at Lenox Mall…our love of music connected us even closer. To everyone that don’t know, till this day June is one of the best freestyler I have ever met…and I have done music for a lot of years so I know what I’m talking about. June would destroy anyone who challenged him. At one point June was known in Atlanta as the best freestyler in the city and was crowned ‘King Freestyler’ and challengers would come from all over the city to challenge him…and he would dismantle them all. You see, Junes’ very astounding high intelligence with words is incredible. He would say things in freestyle that would shock the top 10 greatest rapper of all time…and he did it over and over again with consistency. I always pushed him to write like he freestyled…I wish we had social media & cell phones back then…June would have been…June’s freestyle when you see it with your own eyeball is something spiritual to experience… when he was in his element…and I don’t say this lightly…especially when he was in competition and his ‘King Freestyler’ Championship belt was on the line. The things, intelligent word connection, and how he would play jigsaw puzzle with words then make it all make sense in the end…believe me when I tell you I still have never seen anyone that can do this like June…with the cleverness and swag like June did.

I have lost count of how many times I have cried…brother I can’t beleave you are gone. Am so sorry we didn’t get to song writing stage of our live when we talked about writing for every artist. And you didn’t get to try your hand as a professional comedian like we talked about…so many talent June was also one of the funniest human being I ever ran across. Also many might not know this but June was also a great pop & r’n’b song writer.

June you were my first artist as a producer & manager. I remember spending thousands & thousands of dollars at Guitar Center for music equipments to produce you. I met and introduced you to Sean Gillis…he produced you for a while…then I met Rain (Stephen Brown)…pulled him in to produce you as well…keep track of all these producer…everyone of them met and saw June’s talent on the mic and was blown away and immediately wanted to make music for him to rhyme over… Then I met Flex (Jamelle Williams), Ferris Bueller (Don Marquise) and we formed the group ‘Imported’…later on adding the last piece of the puzzle Killer Khaleel (Khaleel Cannon)…and this makes up ‘IMPORTED’. Imported For Live!

Brother I was just on the phone with you…how can you be gone. You were such and angle and peaceful man that brought laughter and light every where you went…that I thought you would live till 100 years old from the peace, happiness, laughter, & love you gave to the world. Their is so so much more to say about SHALEN QUINCY JONES…you never know the last time someone will see you or you will see someone so tell your loved ones you love them…tell people you care about that you care about them often…live everyday like it’s your last and one day you will be right…I can’t write anymore …I Love You June and will forever have a whole in my heart because you are gone…but God know best and he wanted you home. Peace In Rest my brother and please watch over all of us.
