Silva Lee O'Daniels

Silva Lee O’Daniels (92) of Marietta, GA, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025. She was born to Frank and Flarna Braughton on February 28, 1933, in Altus, Oklahoma. She moved to California when she was eighteen where she met her future husband. She moved to Marietta, Georgia to marry John O’Daniels, a U.S. Navy veteran, from the Korean War era. John predeceased her in 2020 after 66 years of marriage. Silva is survived by her four sons, Mike (Pat), Bob (Christine), Joe (Peggy), and Roger (Connie). She is also survived by six grandchildren, Nicole Kemper (Kris), Joseph O’Daniels (Rebecca), Jason O’Daniels (Lindsey), Amanda Ellwanger (Nick), Connor O’Daniels and Payton O’Daniels (Grace) and nine great-grandchildren, Charlotte Kemper, Lucas Kemper, Elliot Kemper, Abby O’Daniels, Daphne O’Daniels, Jonah O’Daniels, Livia O’Daniels, Evelyn Ellwanger, and Emilia Ellwanger. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th, 2025, at Southern Cremations and Funerals located at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park, 1861 Dallas Highway SW, Marietta, GA 30064 from 10:00 AM until 10:30 AM in the Chapel. The Celebration of Life service will follow at 10:30 AM.
