Steven Aaron Jackson

December 13, 1988 ~ August 2, 2023

Steven Aaron Jackson passed away at the age of 34 on Tuesday, August 2, 2023. Born December 13, 1988, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Aaron was a man committed to living life to the fullest. He leaves behind his parents Allen and Judi Alexander Jackson, his sister Sarah Jackson Brinson and her husband Adam Brinson, and Mallory Harville with whom he shares a son Reid Aaron Jackson. Aaron was blessed with a supportive extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. After graduating in 2007 from Crescent City Christian School where he excelled in multiple sports, Aaron attended Mississippi College and Louisiana State University. He then enjoyed a productive career in Texas with several construction-related companies. Most recently, he was employed with Bulldog Movers in the Atlanta area. Aaron was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Richard and Peggy Hartshorn Jackson as well as his maternal grandparents James and Patricia Martin Alexander. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 1 p.m. in the Dunwoody Baptist Church worship center, with visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m. His family encourages attendees to wear black and gold (and maybe even a fleur-de-lis) in honor of Aaron’s love for his New Orleans Saints. For those who cannot attend in person, the service will be live-streamed at dbc.org (click ‘watch live’). In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given in support of Aaron’s son Reid for education, insurance, and so much more. Email jacksonallen1976@gmail.com for donation information.

  1. Prayers of comfort and blessing from the Mississippi Delta love Jim and Cynthia. He is “safe” in the Father’s house !!

  2. Praying for peace and sending lots of love. We love yall.

  3. Aaron was a beautiful person who did live life to the fullest. His passion for playing baseball as a young lad through high school made me smile. His love for his family and friends was beautiful. His relationship with his sister Sarah was very special. He loved mission trips and serving the Lord with a beautiful SMILE on his face no matter where he was. Aaron will be missed deeply by his family. I am thrilled his Dad and him enjoyed a BRAVES baseball game on Monday night together. You are loved from your Uncle Whit and Aunt Phyllis.

  4. I first met Aaron when he was quite young and spent some time with him then. I also had the privilege of spending time with him earlier this year and considered our visit a blessing. He is now safe, joyful, and without any of the pain he endured on this earth. Thanks be to God who loves us more than we love ourselves! Randy J.

  5. With our heart felt love and sympathy are genuine. Our Lords comfort and understanding are sufficient. Randy & Carol J.

  6. With heartfelt condolences and continual prayers. Sincerely Bob and Billie Comeaux

  7. I always said Aaron was the “James Dean” of husbands…. He was always kind, always willing to help, and just insanely handsome to boot. We were blessed to have our son Reid Aaron Jackson together… Today, as painful it is without Aaron, I am so thankful for our son and to carry out his name and legacy…. I love you so much Aaron and I know you’re in paradise watching over us… I love you, boog.

  8. Dear Ones- Remembering Aaron today with the best memories of our neighbor boy! He makes heaven home! By His Hands- Craig, Dee, Shelley and Drew Price

  9. To the Jackson family, I only knew Aaron when he was little but have enjoyed watching him grow up through the wonders of the internet. Aaron was the first baby I ever held on purpose. I think I’d been posed holding my Sister for pictures and that was about it. I was terrified. Judy was not. I couldn’t believe she trusted me to do it. He didn’t immediately cry and seemed perfectly happy to be held by me while Judy looked at dresses at Mom’s store. It was the very first time that I thought to myself that maybe I could one day be a Mom and the first time I ever imagined having a Son of my own. As simple as it seems, it was a defining moment. I will never forget Aaron because of it. My family is praying for your family. I love you very much. Cyndi (Keen) Losness

    • Thank you for sharing this memory! I love it . . . and you!

  10. Remembering your family in this difficult time Bong and Tina Choi

  11. Know you are SO LOVED!!!!

  12. In our prayers, Byers and Mary Rogan

  13. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Ps. 34:18 – Our hearts and prayers are with you all in this time.

  14. Howard Payne Univ. School of Christian Studies says:

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We love you and your precious family.

  15. Having known Aaron during our growing up years from 4th grade and onward, this is a surreal moment. There were certain qualities I admired about Aaron that I often wanted to imitate from him. Praying God sustains you in your grieving with all with the precious promises found in His Word. May He comfort you with His presence in the boat of this storm as you endure waves of sorrow. My deepest heartfelt prayers, from Matthew Pinckard
