Teresa "Tracy" Renee Young

April 2, 1956 ~ August 5, 2023

On Saturday, August 5, 2023, Tracy went to be with Jesus at the young age of 67 while at home with her children by her side after a sudden and brief twelve-week battle with cancer. Country to her soul as cornbread, beans, sliced Vidalia onions and a good glass of sweet tea were a few of her favorite things. She never lost hope at winning it big as she purchased those scratch off tickets religiously. Tracy enjoyed patio sitting watching her favorite shows and playing solitaire on her phone. Lovingly referred to as MawMaw by her eight grandchildren as well as the many tots that came into her life she loved to spoil. Tracy was preceded in death by her parents, William Ray Tatum and Barbara Sue Cook, Cecil Wayne Cook. Brother, William Anthony “Tony” Tatum. Niece, Bailey Tatum and many other family members. Tracy is survived by her children; Robert Young (Sarah), Tonie Young, Mathew Young. Her eight grandchildren; Kiana, Cole, Blanton, Isabelle, Kane, Gavin, Delilah and Emma. 4. To be absent from the body is to be present with the lord. You may now take your rest, Tracy! Even though we were best friends for 10 years, you treated me more like family. I will miss this days after work when we would go out to eat to Applebees We would laugh and giggle until we both got very sleepy. I will miss u much my sweet friend!! 🥰

  5. You may have drove me crazy at times with your ways but you were still my Mom and loved dearly. I’m thankful for the 12 weeks you spent in our home again and the ability to care for you daily. I would buy you a million more vanilla malts if only I could.
I pray you love it in heaven and are at peace there.

  10. Tracy, you were the first true friend I had made since moving here to Georgia. I really enjoyed all the time we spent together sitting on the front porch watching & listening to the neighborhood, talking about your day at work or watching our favorite TV shows. I loved our trip to N.Carolina for your birthday & how you made fun of me for making you stop the car so I could see all the Elk in the river. I’m sad we never made it to all the places we wanted to go but I will get to some of them & you will be with me in my heart. I’m truly going to miss having you as my neighbor & the one person I could talk to about anything.
Rest in peace my friend & I will see you again someday…Love You Tracy!!❤️

  11. I’m sorry for your loss, I just heard of Tracy’s passing, I always enjoyed talking with her and having her dispatch me somewhere. Sincerely Troy Cosby
