Thomas Anthony Smith

Thomas Anthony “Tony” Smith of Cartersville, GA passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 15, 2022, and went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 62. Tony was born in Anniston, Alabama on December 12, 1959, the son of the late Robert “Gerald” Smith and mother Janice Broder. He was preceded in death by his father, and brother, Raymel “Ray” Scott Smith. He is survived by his mother, brother, Robert “Robbie” Smith (Kim), sister, Kim Mathews (Paul), two sons, Justin and Chris Smith, one daughter, Laura Ashton Smith, one nephew, William Mathews, two nieces, Samantha Mathews and Tonya Smith, one great niece, Melissa Ellie Rae Smith, and many other close family members and friends. Tony loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his family and friends. He recently retired from the food service industry. He enjoyed spending time outdoors admiring God’s creation. Tony was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.A celebration of Tony’s life will be held on October 27 at 2 p.m. at New Covenant Church of Cartersville, 5425 Highway 20 NE, Cartersville, GA 30121. Reverend James Black will officiate.
