Over the years, Tonya found love in poetry, fashion, singing, dancing, food, music, taking care of children, traveling, fast cars, and lets not forget her beloved New Orleans Saints. She was a child at heart enjoying all things Batman, Harry Potter, Twilight, Star Wars, Disney, and Marvel. Tonya was an advocate for those fighting Lupus, raising awareness to anyone who would watch her journey online. She raised thousands of dollars for the Lupus Foundation Georgia Chapter and continued to bring her family and friends together through an annual Lupus Walk event. Tonya is preceded by grandparents, the late Desiree and McRay Thornton. She is survived by her parents, her boyfriend, her siblings Tiffany, Troy, Sheanka, Jade, Trey, Romalis, Tamara, Maya, LaShondra, and Treylon. Her aunts, Zaundra, Lucretia, and Christian. Her uncles, Gary and Jerry. She leaves a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family. She is unconditionally loved and will be deeply missed. "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 5:16

  9. I remember Tootie attending church services as a little girl with her Aunt Zaundra as a child. She was such a quiet, shy, sweetheart who loved worshipping God! I still remember her sweet smile! I know her light will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. You all have my most heartfelt condolences.

  10. I’m a friend of your Aunt Zaundra. I remember when your mom was pregnant with you and how excited your aunt was to welcome you. I know this is a difficult loss for your family and friends. My hope and prayer is that the memories of you will sustained them forever. Rest well angel. Andrea S,
