Weems Richard NolesApril 4, 1942 – May 2, 2025 With love and sorrow, we announce that Weems Richard Noles returned to his heavenly home on May 2, 2025, surrounded by peace and prayer. He was 83 years old.Born on April 4, 1942, Richard lived a life shaped by strength, deep conviction, and enduring faith. Though his journey on earth was not without hardship, he carried himself with a steady resilience that left an impression on all who knew him. He believed in the power of grace and the promise of redemption, and he now rests in the eternal presence of the Lord. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Glennis McIntosh Noles, his wife of 57 years, Betty Lou Loftin Noles, his infant daughter Elizabeth Leigh Noles, and brother, Randall Noles. He is survived by his loving wife, Rachel Noles, children: Vicki Leigh Noles Rogers (Greg) and Leigh Ann Noles Dial his grandchildren: Hannah Elizabeth Rogers Davis (Will), Sarah Grace Rogers, and Josephine Maybelle Dial, stepchildren Adam Scott Richardson (Stephanie) and Angela Renee Eidson (Keith), Step grandchildren Alexis Marie Moghaddam (David), Delaney Grace Stewart, Ridley G Morgan, William Wiley Stewart, and Ansley Nicole Brumfield (Dylan), Step great grandchildren Mila Kate Brumfield, Penelope Moghaddam, Avery Reid Brumfield. He was passionate about the outdoors – hunting and fishing, horses, and growing things. He was an expert on guns and ammo. He loved teaching people new things and spending time with his many friends. He worked hard his entire life and was known as someone who could fix anything. He served many years as a deacon and Sunday School teacher and was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge. He served our country honorably in the Army National Guard. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 25 @ 12:30 pm at Westview Baptist Church, (5901 Highway 5, Douglasville, Georgia, 30135). All who knew and loved Richard are welcome to gather, reflect, and honor the man he was and the life he lived.
