William Leonard Woods Jr.

William (Bull) Leonard Woods, Jr., age 71, died peacefully in his sleep early Wednesday morning, March 8, 2023 in his home in Jackson, Georgia. Bull is survived by a loving family. He has three sons: William Bradley Woods ( Terri) of McDonough, Georgia; Ryan Keith Woods ( Rachel) of Monticello, Georgia and Jason Brent Woods of Jackson, Georgia. Bull has ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. His sister, Carol Ann Woods, lives in Tucker, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Janet Marie Phillips Woods who died April 1, 2018 after a long illness. Bull was born on August 8, 1951 at Fort McPherson, Georgia to parents William Leonard Woods, Sr. and Betty Hickey Ward Woods of Rome, Georgia. He and Janet were married March 4, 1970. During his life he worked as a Master Carpenter for several businesses before he started his own company, Woodart, Inc. in the early 1990's. Bull was a great family man and a loving involved father. Bull loved music and was devoted to his family. He would often be seen playing and laughing with his children in a family pool. Coaching his sons' football and baseball leagues was his greatest joy. His friends and family will always remember his kind and generous heart. A funeral is scheduled for Mr. Woods on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 1PM at EastLawns Southern Cremation and Funerals. It is located at 640 McGarity Rd., McDonough, Georgia, 30252. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bull's life.
