Wilma Dene Pate Sutton

Dene Pate Sutton, age 95, passed away peacefully at home on November 22, 2022 at 9:48 a.m. She was born on July 9, 1927 in Jackson County (Gainesboro), Tennessee to John Henry and Flora (Porterfield) Pate. She was married July 16, 1949 to the late Billy Sutton of Nashville, Tennessee. They moved to Marietta, Georgia in 1954 for Mr. Sutton's employment at Lockheed-Martin Aircraft. Mrs. Sutton was retired from Rich's at Cumberland Mall. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Marietta. She bowled in Brunswick Zone Bowling 50+ League for over 25 years. Mrs. Sutton was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Billy July 26, 1983, her infant brother and little sister Lula Mai in 1937, son-in-law Tim Rose in 2010 and granddaughter Jennifer Bone in 2013. She is survived by daughters Belinda (Jimmy) Rainey of Marietta, Georgia; Terry Rose of Marietta, Georgia; Cindy Bone of Fort Pierce, Florida; son Tracy (Tami) Sutton of Acworth, Georgia; 7 grandchildren Jessica (Adam) Fulton, Matt (Alice) Rainey, Amanda (Jody) Roby, Wesley (Leslie) Brown, Zach (Cailey Ryckman) Statham, Tara (Arialle Crabtree) Sutton, Taylor Sutton and 10 great-grandchildren. Graveside service and burial in Cheatham Hill Cemetery, Marietta, Georgia on Thursday December 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
