Dwayne Lewis

Mr. Dwayne David Lewis, age 36 of Powder Springs, GA, passed away on January 2, 2020 following an extended illness. Mr. Lewis was a devoted father to his daughter Mia and was a caring, charismatic, humorous and loving child of God with big faith and a gift for connecting with people. Dwayne was born in Jacksonville, NC and raised in Jacksonville, FL where he was very active with his church and in the community. He was married in April of 2011 and moved to Atlanta immediately thereafter. He worked at various places, but was most passionate about pursuing a career in physical therapy. Dwayne is survived by his wife Celeste Lewis, daughter Mia, father Dwayne M. Lewis, mother Pamela Lewis, sisters Jennifer, Taliah and Deborah and nephew Adam. Services for Dwayne will be conducted Wednesday January 8th at 11:00 AM at Atlanta West Pentecostal Church with Pastor Darrell Johns officiating. Friends of the family will serve as pall bearers. Burial will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, GA. The family will receive friends at the Columbarium Chapel of Southern Cremations and Funerals located at 1861 Dallas Highway, Marietta, GA on Tuesday January 7th from 5pm until 8pm.
