Brenda Harris

Brenda Sue (Fleeman) (West) Harris, 72, of Ramona, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, after a short battle with diabetes and pneumonia. Brenda was born on July 21, 1947, to Henry Thomas Fleeman and Margaret Louella (Cole) Fleeman in Winder, Georgia. Brenda had three girls: Tonia Lynn (West) Mitchell, Sharon Denise (West) Miller, and Gloria Lea (West) Whitney. And in March 2001 she married William O’Neal Harris. After marring O’Neal, she welcomed O’Neal’s “children”: James “Jackie” Rayburn [Patty] Harris, Sean Allen Fox, Pamela “Pam” Sue Fox, Patrica “Patti” Diane (Fox) Swafford; After working for Wal-Mart as a “cut-up” girl in the fabrics department for 20 years she retired in 2013. Brenda loved spending time with her family, friends, and “Gal Pals.” She loved to go on cruises, be at the beach and playing in the water, playing games (such as dominoes and cards). She loved dancing, flirting and just making others laugh! Brenda was preceded in death by her father and mother; her sisters: Sarah Jacqueline Kirby, Margaret Elouise Bosserman, Charlotte Carolin Holt, Christine “Chris” Harris, and Brenda’s twin sister, Linda Lou Newton; her husband, O’Neal Harris; as well as several beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. Brenda is survived by her two remaining sisters, Henrietta “Frances” [Danny] Cole and Cathryne “Kathy” Mae Smith; her daughters: Tonia, Sharon, and Gloria; her stepchildren: Jackie, Allen, Pam and Patti; her grandchildren: Adelaide, Dillon, Tori Beth, and Dimitri; step-grandchildren: Rachel, Jennifer, Matthew, Joy, Nikki, Caleb Jr. “Bubba,” Breagean, Nick, and Jake.

  1. I’m going miss Brenda. We got to be sisters through Frances. I’ve had so many fun times with these girls. From shopping to eating to just hanging out. She became part of my family and she knew she was always welcome here. She lived life to the fullest and it’s been an honor to call her my sister from a different mother!!
