Eileen Clare Fittin

Eileen Clare Fittin, 84 years old, of Marietta, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 in Marietta. Eileen was born in Orange, New Jersey to Thomas and Edna Dolan on August 12, 1935. She graduated from Mount St. Dominic HS and Caldwell College, and was employed by Bell Telephone of NJ and PA for 30 years. She was married to Jerry Fittin on August 25, 1956 in East Orange, New Jersey. He was a Navy veteran; graduated from Panzer College and was in Education for 30 years. Eileen is survived by her husband Jerry, her children Mary Hartman and her husband, Jim Hartman; Nancy Matalenas and her husband, Jim Matalenas, and Michael Fittin. Eileen has three grandchildren, Laura and Jimmy Matalenas and Ryan Hartman. Visitation will be held between 2:00 to 4:00 on Saturday, February 29 at Southern Cremations and Funerals. Deacon Norm Keller of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, will officiate the prayer service at 4:00 pm. Burial will follow at Southern Cremations and Funerals - Cheatham Hill.
