Alexandra Martinique Smith

Born on July 30, 1981 at Hutzel Hospital in Detroit, MI. She lived in Detroit and Pontiac, MI, and lastly in Stone Mountain, GA. She graduated from Pontiac Northern High School and she went onto Ferris State University, Georgia Southern University, and graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Pi, Delta Rho Chapter. Sick with a chronic illness since the age of 13, she was unable to pursue her chosen career but she continued to be involved with family and friends. Especially her nieces Scarlett, Saige, Valoni, and Jada. She was extremely close with her cousin Vanna, they were like sisters. She supported her brother Brandon after his accident and sat tirelessly by his bed as he came out of a coma. She also traveled the world and dipped her toes in the Caribbean Ocean (Even though she didn't like dirt). She wanted everyone to know she had a good life. She was preceded in death by her beloved baby Chewy (dog); her grandmother Barbara Quarles; great-grandmother Earlynne Lowe; and Uncle Michael Quarles. She is survived by her mother Cheryl Smith-Washington; Stepfather James Washington; brothers Brandon Smith (Judy McBride), Marcus Beyah (Darlene Oyemakinwa), Jeremy Washington (Sharise Washington); Aunt Victoria Kennedy; Uncles Thomas Lowe, and Richard Kennedy (Patrice Kennedy); cousins Vanna Thomas (Trey Thomas), Vanity Haddon, Victor King, Vontay Kennedy, Michael Quarles Jr., Matthew Quarles, Marcus Quarles, Ryan Kennedy, Lynette Lowe, Chad Armstrong, Ivan Kennedy, Tiffany Kennedy, Daniel Kennedy, plus a few other cousins- I LOVE YOU; nieces Scarlett Smith, Saige Crew, Jordyan Washington, and Natalie Quarles. She also leaves behind her best friends Deahanna Silmon, Melanie Grandoit, plus a whole host of wonderful friends.

  1. I can remember when you were just a little baby girl,..my sister let me keep you for the very 1st time. I had you on my right knee and Brandon was on my left,.. she went to the store and gave me my 1st responsibility of being a uncle. I will never forget your beautiful kindness.
