Marietta Southern Cremations & Funerals
Ernesto Bombase, 77, of Kennesaw, GA was called to rest by our Heavenly Father on September 13th, 2020 with the love of his life, Josefina Bombase, by his side.
Ernesto was born on September 12, 1943 in Manila, Philippines. Despite his challenging upbringing, he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, then married Josefina, who never left his side. With a new wife and two children, he made the sacrifice of temporarily leaving his young family to pursue an opportunity in Japan to better their futures. He eventually reunited with his family and moved them from the Philippines to the United States to pursue his American Dream, leaving the comforts and familiarity of his home country behind.
First and foremost, he loved God. As such, he was blessed with the gift of the kind of gentleness, kindness, and purity of heart that could only be bestowed by God, the Father. He led his life by putting others before himself, offering forgiveness to all, and showing grace at all times.
He was a devoted husband and a dedicated father whose life choices were solely guided by his desire to provide the best future for his family. Because of his countless sacrifices, he created opportunities for his children so that they would not have to sacrifice as he did.
Ernesto is survived by his loving family including his wife, Josefina Bombase, Joer (son) and Jobel Bombase (daugher-in-law), Valerie (daughter) and John MacFarland (son-in-law), and his grandchildren (Marissa, Max, Alexander and his new grandson, Jacob Ernesto Bombase). He is also survived by his siblings, Lonnie Zaragoza and Lydia Dukeshire.
He is preceded in death by Tito Bombase (his father), Amparo Bombase (his mother), and his siblings, Eduardo Bombase, Estella Datangel, and Linda Manning. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Apple, and his granddaughter, Alice.
His memorial and Celebration of Life will be on September 25, 2020, at St. Catherine's of Siena in Kennesaw, GA. He will be laid to rest at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, GA.

Tito Nes legacy of kindness and gentleness will live on. He will forever be our favorite Tito.

Having worked with Ernie for many years, I never heard him speak a negative word. He was always smiling and grateful. Many memories of which I will always remember. It’s not a good bye but will see you again one day. Prayers for the family! No words can heal your pain-only time. Brenda Wiseman
Uncle Nesto was a kind and gentle soul. I smile when I think about our time when he first came to America. When I found him washing clothes in a bucket on the side of the house and his surprise and delight to see a washer and dryer and learning to use. Buying his first car – an orange VW big. He loved that car. Teaching him to drive. That was an adventure in itself. The first time he had tacos, beans and enchiladas. Preparing to move his family here from the Philippines. Aunt Josie, Joer and Valerie – he was so excited. We found your first home and furnished it. He wanted everything to be perfect for his perfect family. Your dreams were his dreams. He wanted so much for you but most of all to love and cherish you. He did his job well and he can Rest In Peace. No more pain Uncle Nesto. I will cherish my last call with you. I love you to eternity.
Our deep condolences and sympathy for your comfort Rest in peace bro
