Thomas “Big Tommy” Pittman, 73, of Newnan, GA passed away on October 5, 2020. He was born on September 8, 1947 in Atlanta, GA to the late Dock M and Annie Mae Dempsey Pittman. He worked in the construction business all his life and was known to be able to fix or build anything. He would do anything to help anyone who needed it and never expected anything in return.
He was preceded in death by son Thomas “Little Tommy” Pittman, brother Harold Pittman, sister Vadeer Myers, mother-in-law Katherine Turner and grandson Joshua Gabany.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Loette; four children and their spouses: Roxane Thompson of Bremen, GA; Thomas “Chuck” and Linda Gabany of Griffin, GA; Tracey and Chris Rhey of Macon, GA; Tonya and Boyd Burns of Newnan, GA; twelve grandchildren and their spouses: Amber, Jake (Samantha), Brittney (Shaun), Tyler (Jamie), Austin, Annie, Katie (Ceejay), Courtney, Jessie, Sami, Devin, Jackie and ten great-grandchildren; three siblings, Elizabeth McGinnis, Rosie Adams, and Robert Pittman; lots of extended family including Rita Johnson, Kim Massey, Brandi Wagner, Joe Oakley and many lifelong friends who were always like family.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made to the donor’s charity of choice in his memory. A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Tommy’s life.







He was a good hearted man. Always eager to help some one.Believe me i know. It didnt matter where i broke down at or what time it was he was on his way with Loette right beside him. Also it’s because of him why i eat beans. He told me just put mayonnaise and hot sauce in them. He was right. I still eat them that way. Very knowledgeable. I already miss him ❤
