Mrs. Christie was born September 13, 1930, in Fairfax, Alabama as the daughter of Willie Lewis Morgan and Francis Williams Morgan, both of whom proceeded her in death. Mrs. Christie was also preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, Sim Patterson “Pat” Christie, who died May 2, 2003 and her sister-in-law Barbara Morgan. Mrs. Christie was raised in Fairfax, Alabama with her younger brother, Billy. Her mom was a homemaker, and her father owned the local Rexall Drug Store.
