Marietta Southern Cremations & Funerals
Shirley Brewer Dickson, born October 17, 1946 and passed away on November 8, 2020.
She was born and raised in Sumter, South Carolina. She was a 3 time cancer survivor with a loving and caring attitude and much grace, she never gave up. She was a great inspiration for all that knew her. It gives us great comfort knowing that she is now healed completely in Heaven with Jesus and her family who greeted her home. She affected family and friends with her loving, caring spirit and willingness to help those in need. She will forever have an impact on the lives she touched.
She is survived by the most amazing husband, Glenn Dickson; daughters, Ginger McGourk and Jayme McDaniel. Three grandsons, Garrett Cowan, Casey and Carson McGourk; and one great grandson, Ryker Cowan. Also surviving are her sisters Helen Bailey, Betty Rae Doggett, Corinne Avin and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, James and Rosebud Coulter Brewer; brothers John C Brewer, Don Brewer, JC Brewer, Richard Troublefield and sister Julia Miles. Also predeceased by husband John N McDaniel and daughters Robin and Wendy McDaniel.
