On Saturday, December 19th Barbara Jean McCoy, beloved Mother and Grandmother, passed away at the age of 79. Barbara was born on June 4, 1941 in Big Springs Texas. She worked for 41 years at TWA (Trans World Airlines) and Worldspan while raising her two children, Jennifer and Jason. Barbara loved to travel and enjoyed many adventures around the globe. She also loved the beach and gardening. In 2002 she retired to Sunset Beach, NC where she adopted two rescue puppies and became a master gardener, spending her time training her new dogs and volunteering with the Brunswick County Master Gardeners. She loved helping beautify her community and enrich people’s lives. Her love of nature and travel was instilled in her two kids and is being passed along to her young granddaughter who survive her.

Barbara and I had so much fun together. I loved her humor and hearing about all of her trips with her kids. She loved you so much, Jen and Jason. And you loved and were wonderful to her, too!
