Henry L. Strickland was born on January 26, 1946 to the union of the late John Henry Strickland and Clara Strickland Adams.
Henry was known to his family and many friends as “Bill”. He believed in Jesus Christ and became a member of Vernon Grove Baptist Church at an early age. Henry was raised in Palmetto, Georgia and received his education at Palmetto Elementary and Fairburn High. After high school, he became a dedicated member of the U.S Army. After many years of serving his country he returned home and worked at Owens Corning in Fairburn Ga until his retirement.
Henry was married for 45 years to his beloved wife Louise Moody Strickland who preceded him in death. To this union was born his only son Dometrick J. Strickland. He departed this earthly life on December 30, 2020 at the age of 74.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Dometrick J. Strickland, two granddaughters Megan and Kealy Strickland, two great granddaughters Elizabeth Trujillo and Amaya Padilla, three sisters: Lucile Adams, Glenda Pruitt, and Mattie Walthal, three brothers: Abram Adams, Rev. Jesse Adams and Rev. Paul Len Adams (Felicia), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends including his special friends: Ms. Cheryl Reid Reese, Miyoshi Garrison, and Ron and Danny Ray.
