Jeffrey Mark Slaton, 58 of Smyrna, GA passed away suddenly on January 27, 2021 at Piedmont Hospital of Atlanta to congestive heart failure. Funeral services for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 2:00 PM at Westview Baptist Church, 5901 Highway 5 Douglasville GA 30135 with Pastor Billy Wallace officiating. Jeff was born on July 14, 1962 to Howard and Francis (Norris) Slaton. He attended Campbell High School in Smyrna GA. After high school, he began working for UPS. He worked his way up the ranks from part-time to full-time making parcel deliveries driving package truck. In 2007 he left UPS and has worked various side jobs until his death. Jeff had many passions and hobbies, Bowling being one of them. He was an excellent bowler and bowled many years on a league with his brother, Eddy. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. HE spent many weekends in Franklin County hunting on his grandparent’s property. He loved the outdoors. He will be missed by family and friends. His surviving family members include his daughter, Ashley Slaton of McDonough GA, his brother Eddy (Lorretta) Slaton of Douglasville GA. Nieces: Jodie (Jason) Horton and their daughter Annaleigh- Kelly (Jason) Vaughn and their daughter Abigail Jean. Nephews: Jesse (Sarah) Slaton and their son Simon and Jarod Slaton. Jeff is preceded in death by his father and mother, Howard and Francis Slaton. His brother, Greg Slaton and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
