Lilia Prieto

June 22, 1934 ~ January 24, 2021

Lilia Prieto, 86, of Marietta, Georgia, peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord and her beloved husband of 63 years, Sunday, January 24th, 2021. At the time of her passing, Lilia was surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her home. She was the daughter of the late Carlos Dubs and Matilde Marquez. A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Lilia was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends who cared dearly for her. She also had an undeniable love for animals which extended to her beloved dog Anais. Our beloved mother is preceded by her husband Oscar Prieto and her brother Gonzalo Dubs; survived by her son Oscar (Hilda San Juan) Prieto; daughters Lilian Denebola (Waleed Abdul) Prieto, Althair 'Ali' (Terry) Snyder, Mildred Alexandra (Thomas) Adams and Genevieve Prieto Kessler; grandchildren, Lilian Grisel Alvarado, Oriana and Oscar Andres Prieto, Ryan and Derek Snyder, Yousef Abdul, Maxwell and Olivia Kessler, and Joshua Adams; great grandchild Constanza Prieto; and her sister Marisol Marquez. A private memorial service for Lilia Prieto will be held Saturday, February 13th, 2021 at Southern Cremations & Funerals at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park on 1861 Dallas Highway SW, Marietta, GA 30064. Interment will follow service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made online to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org. The funeral service and interment will remain private. I will remember you making hallacas during the holidays, making arepas in the morning and having your blessing every time we finished a conversation over the phone or a goodbye when I would leave your home after a visit.
