Barbara Harrell Pulliam, peacefully passed away February 22, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born to Carl Kent Harrell Sr. and Lilly Mae Griffin Harrell on July 3, 1936 in St. John’s County, Jacksonville, Florida. Barbara was the beloved wife of Earl Pulliam for 64 years, a union which produced 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Barbara was a teacher to children and adults alike, retiring from Coweta County Schools, from a teaching career that spanned 33 years. She helped so many find the light within themselves through her loving encouraging words. Her influence will go on forever, just like her love. Barbara is survived by her husband Earl Pulliam; her two sons and their wives Terry and Sandra Pulliam, and Dirk and Paula Pulliam; her daughter Cherry and Mark Larson; her brother and his wife Rev. Carl and Lee Harrell; Grandchildren Dr. Melissa and Corey Smith, Drs. Danielle and James Bienvenu, Caroline and Adam Long, Taylor and Ryan Manning, Caleb and Jessica Pulliam, Jordyn and Branden Bohuslav; her great grandchildren Emily Ladd, Jacob Smith, Andrew Smith, Carson Ladd, Carter Ladd, Larson Bienvenu, Madeline Long, Ryan Eleanor Manning, Abigail Long, Reese Manning, Charles Bienvenu, and Henry Bienvenu. Preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Joseph Harrell. As she entered the gates of Heaven, it is certain that she heard her Lord quote Matthew 25:23, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” We love you Granny and our love will never die. In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

  3. Dear Family, I was so sad to hear of Ms. Barbara’s passing. She was such a wonderful Grandmother, mother, wife, & teacher to so many! We will always treasure her memory of a selfless person who cared & gave so much for others! My thoughts & prayers are with you all. May God send His peace, comfort, & love to each of you…. Love, Wanda A. Bearden

  4. Barbara was an inspiration for all of us. While I was minister to the senior adults at Palmetto Baptist, Earl and Barbara loved to be involved in all activity. We all enjoyed her self and that made us enjoy her. Let it be known that Jeannine and I, as wll as many, are praying for all of the family. With love, Buddy

  5. Barbara was a dear spirit. I both worked and worshipped with her so I got to know how special she was. She cared about children and could quickly identify the ones who needed extra attention. But her heart was forever focused on her family and she was so proud of them/you all. I am sending prayers that God will give you comfort and continued happy memories.

  6. My prayers are with Barbara’s family. She shared her love and sweet smile with others and she will be missed. Rebecca Thompson
