Lucille Raye Thye

Lucille “Lucy” Raye Thye was born on April 9, 2021 at 9:39 AM at Northside Hospital, Atlanta GA. She weighed 4 pounds and 14 ounces and was 17 inches long. Following her birth, she was transferred to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta - Egleston Hospital and entered their Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. After struggling with an inoperable diagnosis (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome with heterotaxy and an abnormal pulmonary valve) for one week, she passed into the loving care of our Lord and Savior on April 16, 2021 at 4:05 PM. Lucy is the daughter of Greg and Savannah Thye. She is their only child and will always remain their precious little baby girl. During her time here on earth, she was constantly held by her parents and adored by her grandparents. Her life was a brief gift to us that will live on as tissue from her heart and lungs were donated for research in hopes of finding possible cures and favorable outcomes regarding congenital heart disease. A celebration of life where family and friends will be received is planned for Sunday, April 25th, 2021 at 2:00 PM in Duluth, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the family to donate to the Children’s Health Research and Outcomes Center in Lucy’s name on your behalf. Lucy is survived by her parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many others. She was loved by all who met her and will be very greatly missed.
