Martin Wayne Famber

September 15, 1956 ~ April 25, 2021

Martin W. Famber, age 64, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia. He was born September 15, 1956, in Dalton, Georgia, to Ellis Famber Jr. and Esther Mae (Parks) Famber. He was a 1974 graduate of North Division High School in Milwaukee, WI and attended Marquette University. He married Andrene’ Juanee Davis on his birthday (September 15th) in 1978. Martin is survived by his daughter, Anitra Simmons; his son, LeVar Revell; his grandchildren, Ebony Iudice, LeVar Revell Jr., and Trevor Simmons; his brother, Alvin Famber; and his sisters, Reitha Glover and Loretta Geathers. He is proceeded in death by his wife and his parents. Martin had a lifelong career working with computers in the IT industry, beginning with Ingersoll Rand to Westinghouse to IBM as a Field Support Technician. Throughout his career he earned many certificates and he even ventured out to be his own boss when he began WayNet LLC. Outside of work, he enjoyed remodeling, gardening, fishing, and preparing delicious meals and desserts with an impressive presentation that would have earned him notable recognition on Top Chef. As he slowly approached retirement, he had already began traveling the globe with his fiancée, Josephine Wartel and her family and friends. He spent an amazing 15 days in Kenya, where he visited tourist sites including Masai Mara where he came face to face with its natural wildlife (ostriches, lions and tigers) Spain and France where he learned how to ask for their delicious pastries and fries in French. In the heart of the summer, he voyaged to Mexico where he spent a fun filled week relaxing, and enjoying the stress-free, festive vibes of the country. He never lost his love of trains, which was a result of his father’s occupation; his love of recreational fish and tanks; and his love of Bruce Lee movies. Martin shall forever be known as a good provider for his family and a man of few words with a sarcastic flare. May he rest in eternal peace. Please click here to attend the service via livestream.
