Keala Todd Bates, aka “KB”, age 56 passed away on April 21, 2021 in Kennesaw, GA.
Keala is survived by his wife Michaele of Bayside, NY; his sons Jordan (Twyveseia) Shorter of Port Gibson, MS, Rashad Bates of Chicago, IL, Joshua Bates of Shreveport, LA, and Cline Bates of Sandy Springs, GA; his daughter Keala Walker of Sandy Springs, GA; his brothers Obed (Jane) Keanaaina of Savage, MN, Duane (Gail) Keanaaina of Kalaoa, HI, Bruce (Roz) Pascua of Honolulu, HI and Richard Pascua of Ocean View, HI; his sisters Irene (William) Esco and Deborah Howell of Kennesaw, GA.
He is preceded in death by his parents Cline Bernard Bates of Jersey City, NJ and Adele Pomaikai H. Keanaaina-Bates of Kailua-Kona, HI; his brothers Eugene Gregory of Kailua-Kona, HI and Darrell Bates of Kailua-Kona, HI; and his sister Richelle Romero of Kailua-Kona, HI.
Keala was born on October 4, 1964, in Kealakekua, HI to parents Adele and Cline Bates. He graduated from Snyder High School, Jersey City, NJ in 1982. After High School he decided to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Navy. After serving 4 years in the United States Navy (Radioman Second Class Petty Officer - RM2), he held various positions within various companies as a civilian. From Property Managers, Diamond Level Manager for major “Rent to Own” companies and Supply Chain Logistics.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on May 15, 2021 at Southern Cremations & Funerals at Cheatham Hill in the Funeral Home Chapel, 1861 Dallas Highway SW, Marietta, GA 30604. With a fellowship to follow on the patio. Minister Irene Esco will officiate.
The family would like to express our deepest heart felt appreciation and gratitude for your prayers, support, generosity and love during our time of sorrow.
