Lonnie Allen Callaway, age 46 passed peacefully at his home on May 30, 2021 in Carrollton Georgia. Lonnie is survived by his parents Charles and Janice Callaway and Charlotte and Albert Toth, his wife Diana Grindle Callaway of Carrollton, his children, Zane, Shane, Todd, Daymion Callaway and Alyssa Coffee of Carrollton; his brothers, Chad and Jessi Weatherspoon of Bowdon, Ga, Brad and Paige Weatherspoon of Douglasville, and Jeffrey Norton of Gainesville, his sisters, Melissa Kiser of Douglasville, Shelly and Jason Welch of independence Missouri, Serena and Tammy Dockery of Carrollton, Julie Norton Brown of Gainesville Ga, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Lonnie was born October 27, 1974 in Austell, Georgia. He was a devoted father and also grandfather to one grandson, Knox Allen Callaway, which was Lonnie’s favorite person and he loved spending time with him.
Lonnie also enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his whole family. Although Lonnie was a carpenter and could restore anything, he spent 16 years at restoration sleep in East Point, Ga., where he was a warehouse manager. He loved his job and the people he worked with.
He is predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A memorial service is set for June 6, 2021 at the church that Lonnie was a member of, New Horizon Worship Center located at 600 old Pleasant Hill Rd., Waco, GA. 31024. It will take place at 3:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. Dusty and Robert Rutherford will be officiating. Serena Dockery and Steve DuBose will also be speaking at the service.
