I Love Uncle Billy and always identified with him as the younger brother. Family members said he was an excellent athlete during his youth but also had a bit of a wild side hence the military school, as well, more similarity. Uncle Billy was a very good looking guy and always had a “cool” presence. The most time spent with him was in Jacksonville, after his return from Germany. I will always remember their Black Poodle (scared me to death) and his Camel saddle foot stool. As I became older there was nothing I enjoyed more than being with Uncle Billy, my Dad, and my Brother. What great camaraderie. Additionally my Mother Loved Uncle Billy and always bragged that she helped raise him. She was thrilled that Uncle Billy and Aunt Jane came to visit her during her 80 yr. Birthday party. I always wished I knew him better. My brother Wayne and Uncle Billy were more closely connected. Lucy and I send the immediate family our deepest sympathy. Bruce & Lucy Morrison.
I remember Uncle Bill exactly the same way as Bruce Morrison does. He was unforgettable. When I was a kid I was really impressed that this Army guy could just hop on a not very nice horse and ride like it was something he did every day. That added to his coolness not to mention he was good looking. His big brother really loved him. My condolences to the family.
