Marietta Southern Cremations & Funerals
Christopher Keenom of Marietta, GA died suddenly on August 8, 2021 at the age of 37. He was raised in Long Beach, NY by his mother, Nancy, along with his siblings Craig, Kerry, Taylor, and James. He is survived by his family, including his wife, Elizabeth, and three remarkable daughters, Lily, Gianna, and Kodie.
Christopher enlisted in the United States Air Force in 2007. A member of the 6th Security Forces Squadron, he was promoted to Staff Sargent in 2011. He bravely served combat duty tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Qatar. A decorated veteran, Christopher received the Elizabeth Jacobson Award for Expeditionary Excellence among other honors.
After honorably separating from the military, Christopher and his family relocated from Aviano Air Base in Italy to Jupiter, FL before settling in Marietta, GA. Chris was a “badass” at everything he did – he could fix anything, had incredible work ethic, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a wide array of interests and hobbies. He loved his children, the outdoors, attending Atlanta United games, and playing cornhole with the neighbors to name a few. He was also an enthusiastic worshiper at Legacy Church, where he proudly sang every Sunday… loudly.
His outgoing personality, selflessness, and quirky sense of humor will be missed and fondly remembered by family, friends, and colleagues. Friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 10:00 am at Legacy Church (1040 Blackwell Road, Marietta, GA 30066). A private burial will take place at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.

Liz, I am so very sorry. I wish I could give you a hug and never let go. All my love to you and the girls. Jaisha
Sending all our love during this very difficult time. Patty and Brennan
My deepest condolences go out to your family. Keenom was a good man, a good NCO, and it was an honor to serve with him.
I served with Chris in Iraq. He had our squad’s 6 every single day and is the reason many of us are with our families today. His smile and laughter was infectious. He brought much needed morale and togetherness during tough times, but was a warrior through critical times. Rest In Peace my brother, my family is only whole because of you. I am only here today because of you. Never forgotten…Until Valhalla!!!
We are so lucky to have known Chris. The best neighbor & friend anyone could ask for. Cornhole, slip and slides, beef brisket, snow cones. We love you
