Andy Garcia

November 25, 1988 ~ August 30, 2021

Andy was born on November 25th to a loving a dutiful mother. The second son, Andy was named after one of the members of the popular pop-rock band, “The Bee Gees”. Always the jokester, he began playing tricks on her very early in life as she did not even realize that she was pregnant until she was 7.5 months along. He was her gift, and although she had come from humble beginnings, she was determined to have and keep him despite the wishes of others. Andy was a rambunctious child, and enjoyed being the life of the party. Always joking and playing around he kept the family on their toes and filling with laughter. Andy was known for his free spirit and being the family cheerleader. As a young child, he got many ‘lumps and bumps’ and even got a boxer’s fracture from hitting his brother in the head, which Epifanio called his Karma. Thought to be the favorite child by his siblings, Andy was a very kind, loving and humble person who loved and supported his family, but also enjoyed having the same love and support shown to him in return. Although, he didn’t always make the best decisions and had a checkered past, Andy worked hard to earn his GED and eventually earned a certification in computer programming. In September 2015, Andy met Tabitha, the love of his life and the mother of his child. Two years later, on July 24th 2017, Serenity Fina was born. Andy was happy to be a father, having lost a child prior to the birth of his princess. He tried his best to be the best father that he could and wanted to be her hero and protector. He took on the role of raising his daughter very seriously and was proud to be considered a single father. Extremely family oriented, Andy knew the value of the love and support of a strong family. In 2007, Andy was christened into the Baptist faith with his family and attended services at Sunrise Baptist Church. On August 30th 2021, Andy transitioned from his family home to his heavenly home, leaving a multitude of memories and a host of family who will miss him dearly including Serenity Fina (daughter), Sonia Polo (mother), Jose Corona (step-father), Gina Rivera (sister), Epifanio Garcia (brother), Diana (sister-law), Jesse Garcia (brother), Amanda (sister-law) and Tabitha Mancinelli (daughter’s mother).
