Well Done, Thy Good and Faithful Servant
Matthew 25:23
Musician extraordinaire, Servant of the Most High God, Preacher, Teacher, Son of Faith, Father, Brother, and Son. These are all words used to describe Minister Keith Raynard Staley, Jr. Before he was formed in his mother’s womb, God knew him. Before he was born, God sanctified him. While yet in his mother’s womb, God spoke and proclaimed a great and extraordinary anointing as a musician and psalmist would rest upon his life.
Keith Raynard Staley, Jr was born on November 21, 1991, the first of two sons born to Pastor Keith R. Staley, Sr. and First Lady Kammye G. Staley. Keith, Jr. would become affectionately known by family and friends as Ray Ray. A graduate of Westlake High School, Keith, Jr. would further his education at Clayton State University and receive his degree in Logistics Management from Georgia Military College. Minister Keith would later become a sports show host and tutoring service owner.
Throughout his childhood, Minister Keith displayed the anointing of God resting on his life. From an early age, he exhibited great faith, and would be deemed the Son of Faith by his father. He accepted Christ into his life at an early age, and later accepted the call as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
At the tender age of 3, Minister Keith would begin to cultivate the musical talents he possessed. Under his father’s instruction, he would learn to play the drums, keyboard, piano, and guitar. Little did he know that his love for music would position him to serve under his parents in ministry as the Minister of Music.
Just as God declared, Minister Keith became an anointed musician and worship leader. God would use him to build and train local assembly and district choirs, organize praise teams, build music departments, train musicians, and conduct youth revivals.
Under the leadership of his parents, Minister Keith would serve in many kingdom capacities- Minister of Music, Praise and Worship Leader, musician, Choir Director, Bible Study teacher, Minister of the Gospel, and Campus Outreach Leader.
In 2011, on the campus of Clayton State University, Minister Keith would meet the love of his life, Markesia Truss. After a whirlwind courtship, Minister Keith and Markesia would be united in holy matrimony on Feb 24, 2013. To this union, four sons were born- Keith III, Kobe, Kaleb, and Kayson. In true godly fashion, Minister Keith was the loving husband of one wife and a devoted father.
On Thursday, November 11, 2021 late in the midnight hour, Minister Keith answered the final call, and transitioned from earth to glory. He is survived by his wife of eight years, Markesia; four adorable sons, Keith III, Kobe, Kaleb, and Kayson; loving parents, Pastor Keith R. Staley, Sr., and Lady Kammye G. Staley; one loving brother, Kejonna M. Staley; maternal grandparents, Bishop William Jenkins and Mother Evangeline Jenkins; paternal grandmother, Missionary Minnie Staley; adoring aunts, Paulette Reynolds (Alvin), Ramona LaFroy (Reginald), Kendra Washington (Shawn), devoted uncles, John Staley (Karen), Daniel Staley (Teryn), Everett Jenkins (Angel), Warren Jenkins (Lisa), William Alex Jenkins (Lakeisha); mother-in- law, Maria Johnson; father in law, Stanley McCoy; and a host of relatives and friends.
Minister Keith was proceeded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Benjamin Staley.
