Francis "Frank" John Murray

February 21, 1944 ~ December 29, 2021

Francis (Frank) John Murray, also known as Rizzo and Peepop, age 77 passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Frank was born on February 21, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Frank and Alberta Murray. The Murray family moved to Feasterville, Pennsylvania. Frank graduated from Father Judge High School. Frank later moved to Carneys Pt., New Jersey and worked for Raytheon at the Salem County Nuclear Plant. Frank’s family was always important to him. As time went on, he moved to Virginia and eventually to Georgia to be near his grown children and grandchildren. Frank never met a stranger and was genuinely concerned about the wellbeing of everyone and every creature he met. He was generous with his time and money. Always there if someone needed a ride or help in any way. Frank especially liked animals. His family called him the “dog whisperer”. Animals that weren’t normally friendly could be found on his lap. He had a lifelong love of geese and enjoyed watching them fly off in a V. Frank is survived by his children Frank Murray and Donna Boyer, Michael Murray, Rebecca (Paul) Romano, Matthew (Kimberly) Murray, Kristopher Murray, and Dylan Griffin; grandchildren Kristen Murray, Erin Boyer and Elise Parimides, Michael Murray, Logan Murray, Jersey Shelton and Mason Barden; six great grandchildren; and brothers Joseph and Daniel Murray. In addition, Frank is survived by his long-term partner Felicia Walker, her daughters Tabitha (Tobi) and Tiffany. Frank was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Alberta Murray and brother William. A memorial service is being held on Tuesday, January 3, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Moreland in Moreland, Georgia at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Newnan-Coweta Humane Society in his honor. Frank would want you to smell the flowers as you go by them each day, help a stray animal and feed the birds.
