Ann M. Daniel (Smith) of Marietta, GA, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022. Ann was born July 17, 1933 to Cora and JD Smith of Athens, GA. She married Jack W. Daniel of Athens, GA in 1952 and had 3 children; Deborah Ann, Wayne and Teresa.
She is preceded in death by late husband Jack and daughter Deborah Ann. Her parents and her sister Betty Fields.
Ann is survived by her children; Wayne, Teresa Smith (Jay) and Daughter-in-law Cherryl Brewer (Mike). Grandchildren; Lyndi Schmidt (Shayne), Cora Burnette (Jason), Tanner and Danielle. Great-Grandchildren Aspynn and Ember Burnette, Emri and Kamryn Schmidt; host of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
Ann was the most steadfast mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to anyone that she met. Ann lived her life well. She retired from Commercial Union Insurance and went on to retire from 3-Way Campers in January of 2020. Ann was known by most as Mema. and was a very faithful servant of the Lord. She taught Sunday School, served in Awana, sang in the Choir and would be the most joyous volunteer at any event you asked her to attend. When Mema wasn’t busy at the church, she loved spending time with her family. Mema loved to travel, mostly to the beach or camping, cheering on The Atlanta Braves or the Georgia Bulldogs and listening to music. She had the most amazing red velvet cake recipe, made the best blue cheese dressing and world- famous biscuits.

A celebration of life will be held for Ann at Mt. Paran North, 1700 Allgood Rd. Marietta, GA 30062 on Saturday, January 8th at 2pm. The family will host visitation at the Church on Friday, January 7th from 6pm-8pm and Saturday, January 8th from 11am-2pm.
A short graveside service will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial (Southern Cremations and Funerals) 1861 Dallas Hwy, Marietta, GA 30064








Teresa, Jay and Tanner, it was an honor to get to know Mema. She was always the sunshine in the room. Prayers for you and may you know peace.
