Aziza Botchway

Aziza Botchway, 43 transitioned peacefully in her sleep on January 17, 2022. Aziza was born on November 15, 1978, in Cincinnati Ohio, to Regina Adofo Bruce-Konuah, mother and Francis Abdullah Botchway, father. Aziza was a civil rights attorney and worked as an election consultant. She fought tirelessly for the rights of the disenfranchised and to ensure that their voices were heard. Aziza was preceded in death by her father Francis Abdullah Botchway. She is survived by her loving husband, Yossief Tsegay and their three beautiful children Immanuel Aziz Yossief, Regina Aziza Yossief, and Myriam Adanesh Aziza Yossief. She is also survived by her mother Regina Adofo Bruce-Konuah and sisters Aisha and Afifa Botchway. Aziza enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a passion for reading, traveling, sketching, and most of all attending the sporting activities of her children. Aziza had a bright and energetic personality and was known for her ability to serve her community when they were in need. Aziza only walked this earth for a short time, we know that she is now an angel watching over us. She will truly be missed. Sleep in peace.

  4. I remember it like it was yesterday at the age of 4yrs. Looking back I cherished the fond memories we had together with grandma. Even if it was a quiet moment at the boy quarters porch, those memories will forever stay with us. Exactly a year now ,we communicated and plans were for us meet, firsthand interaction with the family but not knowing it’s the last time I am was going to hear from you.RIP Aziza

Cousin,if tears could build a stairway, and memories were a lane,l would walk right up in Heaven and bring you back again. l remember when we were kids,playing together,and you came back from vacation with an alligator toy, and l ran away thinking it was a real one, and went to hide away from it. I was saddened to find out that,you are no longer with us. My heart still aches! Rip Aziza.
