Marietta Southern Cremations & Funerals
Our beloved Mary Alisa 'Boo' Bates, 53, of Dallas, GA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 3, 2022. Boo was born on April 3, 1968, in East Point, GA to her loving parents, Billy Preston Bates and Mary Alice Fugate Bates.
Boo graduated from North Cobb High School in 1986 and went on to pursue various careers eventually joining Tip Top Poultry, Inc., where she served in various roles for 22 years, most recently as the Payroll Specialist in their Rockmart, GA location. Boo felt very blessed to be a part of the Tip Top family and her presence and contribution there will be greatly missed.
Boo was an incredibly devoted dog-mom to her precious four-legged children, her Schnauzers, Abby, and Zoey. She loved her Georgia Bulldogs and faithfully cheered them on every season. Boo had the gift of generosity, always looking for ways to bless others and help then however she could. Boo loved others unconditionally. She was a devoted Aunt to her nieces and nephews, and they meant more to her than words can describe. She loved celebrating their accomplishments and every moment in between, big or small. She rarely missed a game, theater performance, concert, graduation, or birthday party. And they all adored their Aunt Boo!
In this time of sadness, her family is greatly comforted that she is reunited with her parents in Heaven. She is remembered with great love by Billy Bates' second wife, our dear and precious Helen Bates of Atlanta, GA: beloved siblings, Lee Bates (Ginny) of Marietta, GA; Jerry Bates (Liz) of Canton, GA; and Laura Bates Dunn (Philip) of Marietta, GA; and her cherished nieces and nephews, Jordan Bates of Colorado Springs, CO; Preston Bates (Brittany) of John's Creek, GA; Austin Bates (Rachel) Athens, GA: Tripp Ross of Cartersville, GA; Katie Dunn, Kelsey Dunn, Davis Dunn, Mellie Dunn, and Macie Dunn, all of Marietta, GA.
We will gather at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park, 1861 Dallas Highway in Marietta, GA, on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a time to remember Boo, with friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a gift in Boo's memory to an organization dear to her heart, Blue Skies Ministries, whose mission is to bring the hope of Christ to families living through the challenges of pediatric cancer. https://www.blueskiesministries.org/
