Franklin Anthony Brabham

June 19, 1951 ~ February 15, 2021

Son of the late Deacon Oscar J Brabham Sr. and Pearline M Brabham, was born in Denmark, SC. on June 19, 1951. Growing up in Denmark, he attended and graduated from Voorhees High School. Franklin later married his now wife of 49 years, (Wendell) on March 6 1972 in Kingstree, South Carolina. They then relocated to Atlanta, Georgia that year in search for opportunity. He discovered the talent of driving trucks and became a relocation specialist, in which he has been for over 35 to almost 40 years. Franklin was introduced to Islam and the teachings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad in the late 1970’s and began raising his family on those principles and teachings. Franklin left to mourn, his beautiful wife (Wendell) and their six beautiful children and family. Their sons Franklin jr.(Crystal), Laduke (Shahidah), Darnell (Jade), and David. And daughters Makeda and Tonya (Abu). Also a heap load of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Franklin was preceded in death by his sisters Ernestine Grantham, Ruth Ramey, and Ethel Harrell. Brothers: Matthew, Nathaniel, and Kylon Brabham. Left to cherish the memories of their beloved brother are Carrie Martino of NY, Oscar (Carolyn) of NY, Jonathan (Ella) of SC, Anthony (Constance) of SC, Kathryn of SC,Arthur Harrell of MD, Mamie of SC, and last but not least Annette of Atl. Scripture from the Holy Quran: 2: 112 Whoever submits himself entirely to Allāh and he is a doer of good (to others), he has his reward from his Lord, and there is no fear for such nor shall they grieve. THQ: 2: 136 Say: We believe in Allāh and (in) that which has been revealed to us, and (in) that which was revealed to Abraham, and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes, and (in) that which was given to Moses and Jesus, and (in) that which was given to the prophets from their Lord, we do not make any distinction between any of them and to Him do we submit.

  1. Uncle Frankie, although we knew this day would come I never in a million years thought of the day I would be typing this. You are the epitome of a Strong Black Man. You were my introduction to the Big Rig, my father away from home on many visits thanks to you, My Aunt Winky, & Grandma. You always dropped gems, even when I was too young to understand.
