Born Semente Nestor on June 12, 1939. To the parentage of late mother Elisia Cenat and late father Philippe Nestor. Semente Thomas Nestor, 82-years-old, was released peacefully into the hands of Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 12, 2022, after a courageous valiant fight with an illness. Semente Thomas was born and raised from a very respectful and prestigious family in (la commune de Mirebalais departement du centre 4eme section crete-brulees (Haiti) (nan yon ti zone ki rele cholette). She has 2 brothers and 6 sisters. Semente Thomas was an agriculturalist farmer, she enjoyed gardening and loved taking care of her land. She also was a businesswoman, at a very young age she learned to trade and selling merchandises. Semente T. Nestor was compassionate, a strong woman of value, principle and discipline who believed in work. She was motivated and spirit filled to help others. Many young people considered Mrs. Semente as their surrogate mother and called her mommy. From the stories combine, she was dearly well- loved by many in her small town. The impact she had on others was also clear as her community mourned her. She married her loving husband Erima Thomas for over 55 years. Mrs. Semente and Mr. Erima Thomas became proud parents of 10 children. She was predeceased by her loving husband of over 55 years and suffered the loss of 4 late children. She is survived by her 6 surviving children, 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Despite her large family Semente always made time for everyone. She always provided support and love for her family. Mrs. Semente worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for her children. In September 2011 Semente Thomas Nestor left Haiti to live here in the United States with her daughter, son -in-law and her grandchildren. Mrs. Semente was a woman of God. She loved her church. She often prayed for people she doesn’t even know. She enjoyed praising and worshiping God. One of her favorite Bible prayer verses is Isaiah 2:18 (Tout zidòl pral disparèt nèt ale.) And one of her favorite songs is (Gadon Bondye! Mèvey! Tout sa li fè! Mèvey! bis) Mrs. Semente was in ill health. She passed away on February 12, 2022, in Autumn Breeze Healthcare Center in Marietta, GA. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Mrs. Semente T. Nestor. We know that She is gone in the flesh, but she will always be in our hearts. Until we meet again, we must continue what she has started here in this life. Servant of God well done, the battles fought, the victory won rest now enter Thy Heavenly Master’s joy!
