David G. Collins Sr, 69, of East Point GA, died Thursday, March 03, 2022. David was an Airforce veteran and also was a tour guide in French Quarter in New Orleans. He also worked 10 years for Hilton Atlanta Airport. He was an avid sports fan who loved the Saints and Braves. He loved history as he studied history of the French Quarter at Williams Research Center in French Quarter. He loved to fish in Louisiana and loved to watch the Saints and loved Mardi Gras parades. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lily Mae Stephens.
Surviving is his wife of 20 years, Mary K. Shaw, his child, David Collins Jr., and his grandchildren, Nick Kitts, Josh Swartz, Autumn Voyles, Bryce Collins. He also has 3 great nephews, and a brother named Kenneth G. Collins. His nephews are Erik & Blake. His niece is named Kendrah. The Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday March 19th at the Village Church at 3418 Dogwood Drive, Hapeville, GA, with Pastor Ray Waters officiating
