Ruby Ann Irwin, age 62, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2022, surrounded by her family. Ruby was born on June 18, 1959, in Atlanta, GA to Sible and Floyd Clanton. Ruby married the love of her life Joseph Leroy Irwin on November 19,1978 and resided with him in Griffin, GA. Ruby was family-oriented and loved everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by both her parents.
Ruby leaves behind to cherish her memory husband Joseph Irwin; stepfather Tony Smith; children Chris Clanton and his wife Michelle, Sandy Koivu and his wife Janet, and Karen Gann; plus, many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 12:00 pm. located at 65 Manor Circle, Sharpsburg, GA 30277 and officiated by Dr. Jimmy Elder. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations to cover expenses can be sent to Joe Irwin's Venmo @joe_irwin.

Ruby was so sweet, creative, fun, loving, laid back…I could go on and on. She will be so greatly missed by all the people and animals who were blessed to have her in their lives. I am happy I had the opportunity to spend time with her.

I met Ruby the first day of high school and we have been friends ever since. I was blessed to have her in my life for 48 years.
