Jane E. Lee Larry was born in New Orleans, La. on July 20,1941, to the late Jonathan Lee , and Rosalie Benoit Lee. She was a member of Second True Light Baptist Church in New Orleans and graduate of Walter l. Cohen High School.
After graduation she married St. Clair Larry became a homemaker and nurtured six children. Besides being a homemaker, she worked with speech and hearing-impaired children at McDonald #24 Elementary School.
Jane never met a stranger, and all were welcome in her home. There always was enough for one more. She was known to everyone as “Mama Jane”, and always let people see Jesus in her. She truly will be missed.
Jane E. Lee Larry passed from this life everlasting on May 22,2022. She was preceded in death by her father Jonathan Lee Sr and her birth mother Rosalie Benoit Lee, mother by marriage Emmaline Lee, and mother-in - law Edith Miskel Larry. Also, her brother Jonathan Lee Jr , brother- in -law Robert Smith, and sister-in -law Lillie Mae Lee.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, St. Clair Larry; two sons St Clair Larry Jr (Renee). and Bryan N. Larry (Lisa), four daughters Driscilla A. Comeaux (Phill Sr.), Clairetha M. Nero (Danny), Yolanda D. Hill (Roderick), and Tanya R. Larry (Anthony Johnson). Also, three brother, Albert George Lee , Edward Taylor Lee, Ronald Lee, and one sister Edith Mae Lee Craft (Reverend Craft), brother - in- law Walter Lemons( Penelope), and Alfred Lark (Marie), sister- in- law Regina Smith, Billy Jean Neal, and Eunice Harris Lee. Seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
