Alex Horace Vaughn

Mr. Alex “Horace” Vaughn, 87 of Jasper county, passed away June 6, 2022. Horace was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Mae and Amos Vaughn. He is survived by his very dearest friend, Lolita Kennedy; his children, Tina and Bill Dougherty, of Shady Dale, Tim and Charlene Vaughn, of McDonough, Mike Vaughn and John Barham of Scottsdale, Arizona; brothers and sisters, Opelia Crockett, of P.C.B. Florida, L.T. Vaughn and Claire, of Dallas, GA, Wallace Vaughn, of East Point, GA and Rosie Sweatman, of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Ashley and Savannah Dougherty and Taylor Vaughn, many nieces and nephews. Horace lived in the Ben Hill area for many years, but spent his last 20 years in Jasper County. He spent many of his younger years as an automotive specialist then later retired from Hilton Hotels. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loving the outdoors. Graveside services will be held 10am Thursday, June 9th 2022 at Holly Hill Memorial Park, 359 SW Broad Street, Fairburn, GA. The family will receive friends, Wednesday from 5pm-7pm at the funeral home.
