Barbara Fern Duren

Barbara Fern Duren, age 89 of Atlanta, Georgia went to be with the Lord on July 3, 2022. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Beth McCartha (Mac), Donna Valentine (Don), Lisa Dodd (Gary), her grandchildren Joy Brown (Michael), James McCartha (Christi), Jackie Valentine, Kyle Valentine, Georgia Barnwell (Mitch), and Jaime Smith (Travis), het great grandchildren Mack Brown, Dalton Brown. Caleb Brown, Sydney Brown, Ronnie Harrison, Abby Harrison, Callie Blaylock, Ashlee McCartha, and Megan McCartha, and her great great grandchildren Phoenix and Aurora Simmons, Rowen and Venus Brown, an abundance of nieces and nephews, the community of Campbellstone North, and her church family of Sandy Springs Christian Church. Barbara was born, raised, and lived in Atlanta, Georgia her entire life. She was very active in her community and church. She was an avid Braves fan and she loved to travel, especially for mission trips. A celebration of life will be held at Sandy Springs Christian Church at on July 10, 2022 at 1:00PM with the Reverend Dr. Nathan Brown officiating. A reception will follow in Dunlap Hall at Sandy Springs Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Sandy Springs Christian Church in Barbara's honor.
