Brenda Marcum Marsh

July 5, 1949 ~ July 19, 2022

Brenda Marcum Marsh, of Franklin Georgia, was eternally healed Tuesday, July 19th, 2022. Brenda was born July 5th, 1949, in Cincinnati Ohio to Jobe Marcum & Iva Mae Marcum. She graduated from Fulton High School in Atlanta, Georgia. Throughout her career, she worked at Bowman Transportation, Productive Staffing, Norrell, Lemon Peel, and retired from ATT. Brenda loved horses, saving animals, Tech, Falcons, Braves, crafts, Olympics, and especially UFC/MMA. She was also a member of Greenville Methodist Church in Greenville, GA. Brenda was unique in so many ways and will be dearly missed. She was beautiful, inside & outside, and everyone who has ever met her will agree she was special. Five minutes with her and she would be in your heart forever. Whenever she entered a room, it would light up and she would own it. She was an extremely strong, outspoken, passionate, and sincere woman who had an opinion for every topic and didn’t mind sharing it. You never had to wonder what she was thinking because she would always speak her mind. If you didn’t like it, then so be it. Brenda is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, Jimmy Marsh, and many friends and relatives. Funeral arrangements will be managed by Holly Hill Funeral Home in Fairburn, Georgia. Special thanks to Mollie Walker with Kindred who went above and beyond her duties to help Brenda.

  1. Jimmy, I was so terribly sorry to hear from Becki Brooks Porzio that you had lost “the love of your life” early this past Tuesday morning. Brenda was one of the first upper classesmen I met when I entered Fulton High School in 1964, was so sweet and kind, had those amazing “twinkling eyes”, and a smile that “lit up the room.” Please accept my deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences. Brenda will be missed terribly by you, the family, and all who were fortunate and blessed to have known her. May she rest in heavenly peace. ✝️ 🌹 🙏

    • Thank you Steve, that was special.

  2. What a special lady. I was lucky to work with Brenda and Jimmy for several years. I will always remember their love of animals and Brenda’s kind heart. Jimmy if you see this please contact me.

  3. Our thoughts, prayers and love are with you Jimmy. Brenda was a very special person.

  4. Brenda was an amazing soul. Her, Jimmy and me had so many good times together. Tech games, Falcon games, chilling at their house. So many memories. I was blessed to have known her as a close friend. Fly high Brenda. You will be missed by many.

  5. A huge hole has been left in my heart and in our family. Brenda was the best sister in law I could have ever hoped for. She loved and accepted me from the very first day I met her. I learned a lot from her and will miss her so much. We could talk for hours, shared a love for crafts (she was way more artistic than me) and enjoyed spending holidays and family time together. She raved about anything and everything that I cooked for her, whether it was good or not. She was the perfect wife to Jimmy, the coolest Aunt B to all of my children and the sister I always wanted. I know that Brenda gave her heart to the Lord so there is no doubt in my mind that she is in Heaven right now, probably gathering up animals that are walking the streets of gold so they can live in her mansion. I’m looking forward to the day I get to see her again. We love you Jimmy and we are here for you.

  6. Man, can’t believe she is gone. I remember the times we ended up in the same club and danced until wee hours of the morning. Great times. I know you and Brenda cared a lot for Dad and that means the world to me. we will miss her but God has gained another angel.

  7. Brenda was one of the most generous, genuine and honest people I have ever known. After our first encounter, she engraved a permanent spot in my heart that will forever be hers. I can remember a time when I was feeling down because I was about to loose a big contract and she insured me that everything was going to work out. Well, I held on to her words. And just like she said would, it all worked out for the best. I just wish I would have met her sooner so that we could have had more time together. Brenda will definitely be missed. I love you Brenda! Rest in peace until we meet again!

  8. Aunt Brenda was the sunshine in the midst of a thunderstorm. She was kind and loving towards everyone, and always greeted you with a smile. She never missed wishing me on my birthdays. She was the biggest fashionista I’ve ever met and the most artistic by far. I’m thankful I was able to be blessed by her love and will miss her very much. I’m sure she is up in Heaven loving up on all the animals with a smile on her face. Endless prayers and love for my Uncle Jimmy.❤️❤️

  9. Jimmy… Brenda was a very dear friend. She will always be remembered with joy and smiles. Our thoughts and prayers. Love Lannis and Pryor.

  10. My name is Larry Preston and eventhough I didn’t have the opportunity to meet you Brenda , Jimmy often spoke of you in the same vein as the salt of the earth , an Angel among us. I truly grieve for Jimmy and your families but for you I feel joy and relief for you have been healed and delivered . Rest in Peace in the Kingdom of Glory.

  11. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

  12. My prayers go out to you Jimmy in this difficult time. Anyone that knows you, knows that Brenda was the love your life. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. PSALM 73:26

  13. So many memories but none better than the stability Brenda brought to Jimmy’s life and that meant a lot to me. She loved my brother. Many memories with those two. Married on Valentine’s Day, life in a one room cabin in the mountains with no indoor plumbing, riding horses and Harleys, Halloween dress up for Limelight, boat rides at Carter Lake, I am glad their pen held the wolves when I walked by, Brenda’s memories of Jimmy skiing and the incident with her toe and Jimmy underwater, the best Ga. Tech bowl trip and game in Florida, and of course all their animals. Brenda’s top shelf customer service and business like approach taking care of the customers. Jimmy thought she needed something to set her apart from other business leaders and bought her a Mercedes convertible. Her and Jimmy’s Saturday nights spent watching UFC. Her stories about Pistol Pete and Herbie White. So many more memories. I miss you Brenda.

  14. My Aunt Brenda, my favorite….when I think of her, I think of her smile, her laugh. Growing up, she was so sassy, so confident, and I admired that about her. Always the fashionista in clothing and with hair. I remember her, always, wearing mismatched earrings and either pink or leopard print clothing. Aunt B’s fingernails painted and decorated in true Brenda style. She was a complete look and only she could pull it off. Aunt B taught me how to love animals and do all I can to help ones in need. The only female ,I knew, growing up that supported my interest in weight training, because she enjoyed it, too. Never mess with Brenda! She took up for me when Brandon was picking on me and always reminded me that I was her favorite. She fought hard and I would have never expected any less. A true fighter. The love for Jimmy was special to watch and witness. Lasting memories through my years and I am thankful for those times. Thankful for your heavenly healing and the assurance that I will see you again.

  15. Aunt B has been a unique influence in my life for as long as I can remember. She was simultaneously the baddest broad I knew and a loving caregiver for any troubled animal that came along. (Which, I guess, explains her affinity for Jimmy.) Her eccentric style was legendary- All my friends knew her as “the one with the colorful hair and mismatched earrings, right?” We shared a love of all things Tech, Braves, Falcons, UFC- and our National Championship trip as a family remains one of my favorite sports memories. She was quick to regale us with stories of her rambunctious upbringing, her nightlife as a woman about town, Pistol Pete and Eddie Murphy. I always appreciated the love, dedication and comeraderie she and Jimmy showed each other- they set a great example for us. You’ll be missed, Ol’ Girl. Fly High. We love you.

  16. Brenda Marsh brought so many gifts to our life. We will never forget her!

  17. You will be missed!!! Time passes so quickly. She was always smiling with positive attitude. laughing all the time. Always had great stories to tell. She was unique!! She set the trend for wearing non matching earrings!! She was a tremdous person!!!
