Laura Jean Wessels

Laura Wessels-Osborn, age 60, of Marietta, GA passed away July 27, 2022. She is survived by her loving Husband Ken Osborn, her mother Silvia Chiofalo, Step-Mother Linda Gibney; her children Nicole (Andre) Bass, Antonina (Doyoung Lee) Wessels, Anthony Wessels, Danielle Spears and Lianna Wessels; six grandchildren with another grandchild on the way. Siblings Lisa Schmidt, Silvia Lynch, John Gibney, Joey, Johnny, Peggy and Charlie Chiofalo; Former Spouse Tony Wessels. Predeceased by her father John Gibney. Laura grew up in Staten Island, NY where she attended Our Lady of Mt Carmel St. Benedicta Primary School, Moore High School, and Graduated from Port Richmond High in 1980. She moved to Smyrna, Georgia in 2001. Laura enjoyed cooking, music trivia, and reading. Laura survived a 10 + year battle with cancer, she is a true example of strength. Laura was a parishioner of St Benedict's Episcopal Church in Smyrna. She loved her family fiercely, she also loved dancing, Halloween, beautiful flowers, Hallmark Christmas movies, playing games with family and friends, and so much more. She would do anything for her friends and family. She could make everyone who knew her feel welcome, loved, and safe. Our family is grateful to know that she is now resting comfortably with the lord.
