Audrey Nani Sykes

June 12, 1931 ~ July 31, 2022

Audrey Nani Sykes passed away peacefully on July 31, 2022, at the age of 91 years old. Nani was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, and attended St. Andrews Priory and then the University of Hawaii. She played both the piano and the organ and enjoyed singing and dancing the hula from a young age. Entertaining was her nature and she continued to make people smile with her talent throughout her entire life. She spent 40 years married to her husband Ron, moving from Massachusetts to Georgia and ultimately Florida where they enjoyed exciting activities like boating and racehorses. She also spent many years in Fine Jewelry sales, finally retiring at Bailey Banks & Biddle in Boca Raton, FL. Nani was multitalented as she learned to sew, crochet, embroider, draw and paint. Watercolors being her specialty, she enjoyed painting flowers and created handmade note cards and gift tags for friends and family. Always the life of the party, Nani’s high energy, effervescent personality, and quick-witted sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Nani is predeceased by Edward & Theodora Mun (Parents), Sonny Mun (Brother), Enid Lum (Sister), and Marc W. Garduque (Grandson). Nani is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Ronald M. Sykes and will lovingly be remembered by: Urban Mun (Brother), Liana Valentin-Scott (Daughter), Robert Scott (Son-in-law), Miles V. Garduque (Grandson) & Lori (Miles Spouse), Malia, Kaia, Nani, Kalani & Kaili Garduque (Great-Grandchildren). Mara A. Alberson (Granddaughter) & Michael (Mara's Spouse), Sarah, Lola, Michael Jr. & Gabriel Alberson (Great-Grandchildren) and Alan M. Valentin (Son). Aloha mau loa a hui hou kaua. Mahalo i ke Akua!
