Irene Morris

It is with great difficulty that we say goodbye for now to the loving and cherished, Irene Morris who went home to be with her Father on Sunday July 24, 2022 at 9:14 pm in Marietta, GA at the age of 76. She is preceded in death by her mother Pastor Fostene Birts and only brother Winston Reynolds. Irene was born in East Chicago, IN and her family moved to Atlantic City, NJ early in life. It was in Atlantic City where she became one of the few women to hold an executive position in two casinos as a Shift Manager in the hard count department for many years until retiring to Georgia. Irene is survived by and leaves loving and cherished memories to her daughters Camelia (Ronald) Morris-Grant and Monika Morris both of Dallas, GA; Sisters Delores Forbes of Cedartown, GA, and Deborah Birts-Dryden of Atlantic City, NJ; five grandchildren Davon Harris, Leah Grant, Latrese Grant, Noah Harris, and Ronald Grant Jr.; and a host of family and friends. Visitation will begin Monday August 8, 2022 from 1:00-2:00 pm in the Garden Center Gazebo at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.
