Ms. Mary Lizzie Carroll was born on August 7, 1931, in Newton, Georgia by John Carroll and Maude Martin. Ms. Mary transitioned on August 18, 2022, at the age of 91.
Mary obtained her education in the Newton County Schools. After her secondary education in Newton, she relocated to Atlanta for work. Ms. Mary spent a notable career at Emory University for over 20 years before retiring.
Mary leaves to cherish her memories with her three sons Moses L. Carroll, Roosevelt Carroll (wife Bernice Carroll), and Stanley Carroll. In addition to the following grandchildren: Shaun Carroll (Grand Children: Marquis and Tyler Carroll), Steven Carroll, Kaylah Carroll, and Kristopher Carroll, and a host of loving and supportive cousins and friends.
Memorial Service is tentative and will be announced later.

Mary was my neice, and we were as close as sisters. I will miss you and will always care for you in my heart. Moses. Roosevelt, and Stanley my prayers to you and your families. Love you, Jean Carroll.
We always called her Mae Lizzie. I will never forget doing the time my son was in Grady Hospital from being hit by a car. She had never meet him before but she would come and sit at the hospital with me every day.
She had such a caring soul and would always check on her family.
I know you are a beautiful heavenly flower once again looking over your family…
